Manga Bible
Check out the first couple pages of this awesome Bible. Many Bible stories are paraphrased and (at least Genesis) is narrated by Moses. It says it's the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation in an easy-to-read comic format, I'd really like to get it some day.
The Blind Leading The Blind
Daredevil (Matt Murdock, Lawyer) has always been unique in the fact that the accident that gave him his powers also blinded him. Even though he has lost a physical benefit he is still able to overcome his handicap and use his enhanced abilities to stop evil. Known as Hell's Kitchen's (New York) "Man Without Fear." To criminals he seems as a demon who is not afraid of anything in order to have justice served.
Sadly, in the recent comic books Daredevil was possessed by a demon. Leading an army of ninjas to overpower all order in the area of Hell's Kitchen and instill his own rule. He almost killed many superheroes (mainly Avengers) and close friends (pedestrian partners). After exiting his demon, Murdock decides to retire and go off into the sunset (leaving the once King of Wakanda and current husband to Storm, Black Panther to patrol his domain).
Daredevil's character could be compared to us as Christians. We cannot know or understand all of God's plans or majesty, but we try. We have faith and our powers (the fruits of the spirit [Galatians 5] and the armor of God [Ephesians 6]), but we cannot see. Unlike Thomas we don't have the opportunity to touch the resurrected hands and side.
Therefore, "we live by faith, not by sight." 2 Corinthians 5:7 (The Book of Eli is probably my favorite movie.)
Like the original Daredevil, we are out there doing our job. Like a vigilante we "do not conform to the pattern of this world." (Romans 12:2) We "fight" the good fight for our Lord Christ. Even though we cannot fully see we are still in the battle.
But, we must be careful. We cannot become like Daredevil's dark days. Like Jesus said the Pharisees "are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit." (Matthew 15:14) Even though we may try to fully understand God, we cannot become caught up with adiophora or things that are not truly there. In our understanding we can only learn from studying the Scripture that God has provided for us, not other places.
Daredevil goes off into the sunset to find himself and who he is truly meant to be. It is also alright for us to reflect on what God has done for us and meditate on His Scripture.
Then, with God, we can become even better than Daredevil, "the Lord gives sight to the blind." Psalm 146:8 As we try to study and understand Him, He will reveal Himself to us.

Barack or not Barack? That is the question.
I've drawn an interest as the 2012 perennial candidates enlist.
Sadly, as far as I know, Mike Huckabee, Stephen Colbert, nor Sarah Palin will be running this time.
Oh, and dare I say it? Would it really be that bad if Obama was in office again? It seems like a president can barely get anything done in one term and Barack has always pushed "change," so unless he's going to do something horrible it might be good to see what he comes up with in the second term.
(Though I do not give Obama the credit for the Osama assassination, this picture pretty much says it all)
There are definitely some interesting people signed up from different backgrounds and with different views on just about everything. Barack Obama remaining the Democratic choice, the Republicans and Independents have come up with a few other interesting options:
The coolest by far is Republican Jimmy McMillan,
He's a Vietnam Veteran, a Karate Expert, an R & B Artist, a formal Postal Worker and Private Investigator with a shocking resemblance to Mr. T. He holds a Christian stance, but is fine with same-sex marriage saying he would allow marriage between a person and a shoe.
Living in Brooklyn, NY he has run for the New York Governor position standing with the Rent is Too Damn High Party. It reminds me of how far we've went from the original draft for the Declaration of Independence (The Virginia Declaration of Rights) which stated "That all men... have certain inherent rights... namely, the enjoyment of life and liberty, with the means of acquiring and possessing property, and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety." The draft was changed with Benjamin Franklin assuming property to be a "creature of society."
The most notable candidates may be: The former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich; homosexual, Fred Karger; former Presidential Runner, Mitt Romney; and my second choice, Tim Pawlenty.
Other probably/possible candidates are: former VP runner (with McCain), Sarah Palin and former Presidential Runner, Ron Paul.
The best candidate though, is Republican Herman Cain,
He has corporate, legislative, and media experience and also has been a mathematician in the US Navy, he has strong Christian values (Pro-Choice, Anti-Homosexuality), he has also been a radio host, and is a cancer survivor.

Kirby Krackle
A friend and I stumbled across a nerdy band called Kirby Krackle this spring. The first song we heard by them was about Hal Jordan accepting the Green Lantern Ring (Ring Capacity). In following up with them we found out they have some pretty sweet songs. One of my favorites is Secret Identity:
Another one of their good songs is Up Up Down Down with a surprise ending (and awesome Wilson Fisk lyric):
They have some more songs such as Henchmen, T-Bagging, Roll Over, and Vault 101 but I think my favorite is the Great Lakes Avengers. What makes this one so good is that the Great Lakes Avengers (now called the Great Lakes Initiative) really exists.
And, even the man who is now their leader (Gravity) never really wanted to join this Milwaukee, WI superhero group. With characters like Big Bertha, Flatman, Grasshopper, and Squirrel Girl, who can blame him?
On a side-note, the most-popular Deadpool at one time joined this joke of a group (before Gravity was a member).

I need a Doctor
The world is sick. We need help. This song reminds us for the need for a doctor... someone to heal our hurt, come back from our pain. Sometimes, we feel like we've been left alone against the world. Almost as if Jesus came here to do his duty and then left it to us to pick up the slack. The truth is, he never left, like Dre at the end Christ still fights with us, he strengthens and encourages us. Even though Satan and his demons mocked him at Golgotha thinking that they won, Christ came back and continues to fight with us.
Jesus Calls Levi and Eats With Sinners
After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector by the name of Levi sitting at his tax booth. “Follow me,” Jesus said to him, and Levi got up, left everything and followed him. Then Levi held a great banquet for Jesus at his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were eating with them. But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

Christ is our doctor. The only one who can save us from (eternal) death, and forgive us our sins.
A god with a Hammer
I almost forgot!!! In even more news, THOR (the movie produced by Marvel) is released this Friday!!!! I will hopefully get to go see it this weekend or next week. Some wrestler dude is playing the role as Thor while the very attractive Natalie Portman plays the role of his romantic interest.

Being cast down from his version of Heaven (Asgard) this movie goes in to the basic premise of Thor's origins here on Earth. Where he is conflicted as both a man and god. The balance of his might and will always seems to be a key in Thor's character. Because of his strength, he seems to always win his battles (a great ally to have). Hopefully this movie is to help set up an Avengers movie, a group who holds Thor as one of their biggest allies.

... After watching the movie, the ending wasn't too sad, but sadder than I thought it would be. Definitely worth staying to watch the clip after the credits announcing Thor's return for the Avengers and hinting at Loki being in the Avengers Movie. The only thing I would change about the movie (to keep it closer to the comic books) would be to add Baldar (Thor and Loki's 3rd brother who would have taken over Asgard in Odin's absence.). Only seeing one thing really wrong with the movie is pretty impressive. There are a lot of funny scenes and the Asgardian attitudes seem to warm the heart.
... The Hawkeye tie-in was pretty great as well.

Ultimate Death
In other news:
Ultimate Spider-Man (not the original "Amazing" from the normal Marvel Universe who betrayed his love for M.J. to save his Aunt May with Sinestro's help [1616] but, the teen-aged Spider-Man from the more gruesome "Ultimate" Universe) is scheduled to die in issue 160 (this is the cover for 158 where Spider-Man is hurt pretty badly).
Huckabee On Osama
I received this email today from Mike, concerning the death of Osama Bin Laden Sunday night:
It is unusual to celebrate a death, but today Americans and decent people the world over cheer the news that madman, murderer andterrorist Osama Bin Laden is dead. The leader of Al Qaeda--- responsible for the deaths of 3000 innocent citizens on September 11, 2001, and whose maniacal hate is responsible for the deaths of thousands of US servicemen and women was killed by U.S. military. President Obama confirmed the announcement late last night. DNA tests confirmed his death and his body is in the possession of the U. S.
It has taken a long time for this monster to be brought to justice. Welcome to hell, bin Laden. Let us all hope that his demise will serve notice to Islamic radicals the world over that the United States will be relentless in tracking down and terminating those who would inflict terror, mayhem and death on any of our citizens.
